almost a whole other semester under my belt.
this time next year i'll be getting ready for student teaching...

life is good... and i highly enjoy school... even the homework and tests.
i'm not a big fan of mono though. thankfully that's almost gone.

did i mention that life was hard? not that you already didn't know that.
it's funny... i ask God to stretch me knowing it's going to be hard...
but then i forget i asked him to stretch me and i don't understand why things are more difficult.
i am a funny and dumb character (in a very good way)...

and learning about someone else is fun too... especially when you're learning and growing together.
together... what a wonderful word.

You,

Oh the joys I have with You,
Just being in Your presence.
Or those times I am captivated by You,
Captured by Your beauty.
Your grace...it is astounding.
You constantly move me,
And you Stretch me.
Yet You, You are unchanging.
I deserve less.
But You with Your gentleness,
Always give me more.
Blessingn upon blessing,
Blister upon blister,
You show Yourself in all that is good.
And You stretch me within all the bad,
You with Your bloody, beautiful hands,
With Your walked on, trodded out, persistent feet,
Your strength and Your gentleness,
With Your very essence,
You show me who You are,
How you love me,
Why you love me.
And yet, with every day,
And every instance,
I am blinded,
And yet, I see,
Your gentleness, Your strength
Your grace, Your judgement...
It's in these moments...
I see You.

It's almost over... and I'm ready for it...

And then comes school... and I'm ready for that too...

Two more years and it's... over...

What's been going on in my life you ask? God has been stretching me temendously... and satan has been attacking, like crazy...

Life is hard. But it's just small things. Even the big things... it's all just small things and you know what? Realizing that is a huge blessing.

You know what else I desire like crazy and I'm so imperfect at? Seeking God with my whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13)... I want to pursue Him as much as He pursues me and to make Him my rest. He is Jehovah-Shalom, our God of Perfect Peace... and He is Jehovah-Nissi, our Banner. He goes before us and knows where everything is headed whether we have any idea or not... and He gives us peace, when it's easy and when it's hard.

I've realized how short I fall. And at times I didn't know what I needed to do to pick myself back up. Then I realized I can't get up on my own. One of these days I'll get it... and another day I'll forget and fall again. But oh, the beauty of it all.

I had the best girls ever at the last camp... I ran into them when they were on their way to their first Worship. They asked me if they needed their Bibles since it was worship. I got to explain to them that worship is more than singing and that they should definitely take their Bibles because they were going to learn more about Jesus. Their names were Hannah, Kiley, and Ashley. I ended up talking to them for quite a few minutes and they were so excited about anything and everything. It was a 2nd-3rd grade group so they were ALL so trusting and excited and willing to share. I told them to find me at breakfast the next day and tell me all about worship. They did. I asked them if they needed their Bibles and if they had learned anything. They all said yes and then Kiley pointed at herself and Ashley and said, “Guess what!!! We accepted Jesus into our hearts!!!!!!!” I gave them both a hug and then said, “Wait…. Which ones accepted Jesus?” And then all three of them said, “ALL OF US!!!!” So I gave them all hugs again. I played with them all weekend long. We went on a hay ride together for one of their late nights and danced and ate meals together… It was so nice and an absolute blessing.

I hope my story of these three sweet girls encourages you too….

I'm at camp...

I love it...

It's really hard...

But I love it...

Really cool things have happened.

At one service we prayed over the chairs before it happened and during the service (note: NOT at the invitation) a girl raised her hand and said she wanted Jesus. The speaker was astounded. He asked if anyone else was tired of waiting and wanted to accept Jesus too... 60 kids raised their hands... it was amazing.

The camp here right now is a little difficult. We're praying super hard for them. Two kids were taken to the hospital yesterday and one of them was flighted. Today a band member was taken to the hospital. It's crazy.

I love it...

My best friend gets married soon... it's crazy...

the end.
